At Path of Hope Rescue we know that dog ownership can be challenging, and it's okay if you need help! We are here to offer resources to help keep your dog with you, for life.

PHR Preferred Trainers

Path of Hope Rescue has partnered with local Trainers to help deepen the relationship between owner and dog. It can be hard to know which trainer to trust and invest in. Path of Hope Rescue is proud of offer you our Preferred Trainer Program. We fully stand behind these trainers and know that you will have a great experience with them.

Preferred Trainers:

  • Are evaluated on an ongoing basis to ensure quality experiences

  • Make every effort to prioritize PHR Adopters to be included in classes

    Courtney's Canine College

    Courtney's Canine College uses a common sense approach to training that utilizes all four quadrants of operant conditioning. They know the importance of helping heal dogs as a whole; mind, body and obedience. They focus on establishing a bond through structure, consistency and leadership to ensure balance throughout the dog's life. We care deeply about owners and dogs having a life together that is enjoyable and full of happy memories.

  • Blake is awesome!! Highly highly highly recommend taking your pup/dog to Blake ! He kept us updated while our dog was with him and we were out of town , came back to a completely different dog ! I’m not sure what type of magic he did but he did it lol. I could go on about everything he did great ! The in home training after really is a plus ! Must check it out . You will not regret it !!!   • Courtney was wonderful to work with. She is super professional and an amazing trainer. It was amazing to see how much my dog has changed. We did the 3 week boarding and my dog now knows many commands, stays in busy distracting environments and listens so well. I wish I would've found Courtney sooner.

  • My dog was very fearful of people,cars driving by, and other dogs. Blake took my dog to multiple places to expose him to these uncomfortable situations. He worked with him and lessened his fears. He sent multiple videos and pictures of my dog daily and his progress throughout his training. We received training ourselves, which is a work in progress, on how to work with our dog once he is home. I would definitely recommend Modified K9 for training if your dog has reaction issues or needs just obedience training!

  • Courtney was absolutely awesome. We hired her for the eight week training course in home. She had an intro call with us so we could talk through some of the behaviors we wanted to fix. We had a lot of change within a very short timeframe and our four year old Boston terrier decided to start marking the house. Over the eight weeks we learned how to better communicate with our dog. And also how to maintain and train him on new things. He is much calmer in general and has much better behavioral habits and listening skills. Thank YOU Courtney!!

  • Hello!! I would like to share with you just how amazing Blake was, working with my sweet dog Bear. The knowledge he has about dogs is impressive and effective! After just one, 1 hour session Bear was no longer pulling on the leash, he was no longer barking and jumping up on guests that came into the house, and he now has a designated place to sit until I release him to greet the guests. We have been able to maintain the training due to Blake's helpful tips. Bear shows more respect and obedience towards me which has been a game changer, thanks to Blake's training style.

  • Worth every single penny. Courtney completely transformed my Lucy on her walks. The Before Lucy pulled incessantly and would become extremely aggressive (growling, lunging at, barking at) other dogs on walks. She is a small dog completely insecure. The After Lucy now walks calmly next to me with a loose leash, and her barking and lunging and snarling have all been corrected. Thank you Courtney!!
